Ungerberg is the vineyard site in Gols that is closest to the Neusiedlersee. The soil is characterised by its ability to accumulate great volumes of water and its significant lime content. The wines are shaped by a mighty tannin structure and minerality. An unmistakable element is the slightly fruity component of lovage. At this site two vineyards with Blaufränkisch are planted. The grapes of the younger plants are used for Pannobile Rot, those of the more mature ones for Ungerberg Blaufränkisch. Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon grow on the western part.
